The Tuscaloosa Housing Authority will receive bids for: Phase 2 - Alterations to Crescent East Apartments. Bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. CST, local standard time, on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at the central office of the Authority located at 2117 Jack Warner Parkway, Suite 2, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35401. At that time, all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked “IFB-024-003 Phase 2 - Alterations to Crescent East Apartments”.

A Pre-Bid Conference, followed by an on-site inspection of the premises, will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., at the Crescent East Apartments Community Room, located at 5041 1st Street East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35404. Contractors are highly encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting but attendance is not mandatory.

This project consists of:

• Renovation of 59 apartment units, generally including:

• Replacement of HVAC unit, light fixtures, smoke/CO2 alarms, door hardware, vinyl floor tile, kitchen countertops and sinks and security screen doors

• Interior repainting

• Bathroom renovation (new fixtures, solid surface tub surround, ceramic tile floor, toilet accessories)

• New siding and new painting at selected front porches
